Three related artworks located on the first floor of the Bloorview Kid's Rehab connect the interior of the building to the surrounding natural environment.

"Field Study" presents a carved frieze based on botanical studies above a frieze representing principles of natural science and the structures of natural forms. Inspired by two-dimensional scientific diagrams, the installation transforms these line drawings into relief sculptures. The work is installed so that children can reach the carvings to feel their surfaces and contours.
